FOCUS

Before I began painting, I made photographs. I'm jazzed about revisiting this medium as a counterpoint to oil and acrylic. One similarity is that the "artist’s hand" is in the editing—before and after the shutter button is pushed, decision-making at innumerable crossroads. As with painting, the tools I work with include composition, color, content, and so much more. My overall focus is to provide viewers with a talisman or springboard—a dynamic backdrop as they live their lives, a seed or spark of beauty, imagination, contemplation, optimism, provocation, gratitude, inspiration.
